The old machine shop in the remote town of Þingeyri is like a time capsule, frozen in time. It will reach the ripe old age of 110 years in 2023. The operator will turn 80 and and is about to retire. This 20 minute documentary about the operator, Kristján and the history of the machine shop which for the most part has been kept in it’s original state since 1913!

It was quite long and sometimes difficult process over 3 and a half years, but most of the time it was just incredibly amazing.
